Designing learning
The development cycle for constructively aligned units involves writing Intended Learning Outcomes, specifying assessments, then learning activities and finally specifying resources. It is an iterative process.

How to write learning outcomes for a constructively aligned course

In a constructively aligned course, the unit learning outcomes are aligned not only with the assessments, learning activities and content of the unit, but also with the course of study learning outcomes, graduate outcomes and any legislation and regulator’s requirements. A good learning outcome is at the right knowledge level and measurable, clearly describing the necessary evidence that a student has achieved the outcome.
