Term: Australian Qualification Framework (AQF)
« Back to Glossary IndexThe Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the policy for nationally regulated qualifications in Australian education. Each of the qualifications described by the AQF may only be delivered by approved and registered organisations, and the courses of study leading to the award of these qualifications must meet the requirements described in the AQF for qualifications at that level.
Regulators responsible for ensuring educational organisations comply with the AQF include the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
