A pedagogical approach is a set of teaching choices designed to enable a group of students to achieve the best learning outcomes. It is usually centred on a particular philosophy and theory of learning, such as constructivism, social constructivism, or behaviourism. The same teacher might select different pedagogical approaches depending on the subject, the age of the students and their prior learning.
