The road ahead…

I am reorganising all my ideas about learning, and I’m inviting you along for the ride. I have worked in Australia’s secondary school sector, the vocational training sector, the corporate sector, and  I’ve just started work in the tertiary sector. Each sector is different, and each transition between sectors requires me to re-evaluate my experience for its relevance to the new domain. Last year I went back to school – I’m halfway through a Master of Education – and this, too, requires re-evaluation as I explore the new research available.

Why have I changed sectors so many times? The short answer is that I eventually get bored! Why not try something outside education? I have done that – seismology, computer programming, technical writing – but nothing was as rewarding as working in education.

I intend to blog at least once a week on topics as diverse as

and whatever else grabs my interest.
